Increasing Asset Lifecycle Through Community Engagement and Technology

Ahead of the inaugural Strategic Transport Asset Management Summit 2017 we chat to Florentina Mihai, Manager of Route Planning at Main Roads Western Australia (MRWA).

As part of her role at MRWA, who manage over 17,800km of roads over a span of some 2.6 million km2 in Western Australia, Florentina sets out the customer facing service framework that is complemented by an asset sustainability approach.

In this article Florentina shares with us details of MRWA’s comprehensive transport asset management plan that has been recently reworked to meet ISO55000 standards, and also delves into how technology and community engagement are helping prioritise maintenance works.
