8:30 am - 11:00 am Workshop A: Managing and Prioritising a Long-Term Plan for Optimal Management of Physical Assets

Developing the right asset management program ensures that your assets reach their maximum potential, and when there is a high demand from the public for reliable services, managing assets should be at the forefront of an organisation. Asset management should be viewed from a holistic, long-term approach, avoiding the temptation to view it as a simple document or checklist. In this workshop, you will discover practical ways to revamp your asset management frameworks, taking into other surrounding elements such as communication, breaking down the engineering barrier, the importance of ISO and how to utilise these for a long-term plan to prepare for future changes with transport assets.
What will the workshop cover?
· Understanding your organisation’s future objectives for maintaining fleet, structures, buildings, systems and people assets, and setting up your plan for a long-term outlook
· Effectively aligning to the ISO55000 and exploring the advantages of working towards adopting it for the future
· Utilising the right plan for efficient scheduling of maintenance and predictive maintenance
· Improving communication and handling of stakeholders involved as well as maintaining staff capabilities in understanding future concepts and plans for asset management


11:30 am - 2:00 pm Workshop B: Securing Executive Support for Asset Renewal and Upgrades Through Effective Data Assessment

With restrictions on budget and pressure to ensure infrastructure and assets are constantly maintained, transport organisations are urged to look at better measures for interpreting data for investment support on operations. Data can often be a miss in justifying investment plans and present to executives, but when clearly communicated and understood, it can definitely lean to your advantage, not only with financial stability but also through improved data quality and structure embedded for the future. This workshop will help asset managers to overcome challenges with data and how data assessment strategies can be improved to support executive investment decisions in the long term.  
What will the workshop cover?
· Developing the best practices for managing data and metrics to better measure condition, performance and risk and impact assessments of assets
· Overcoming constraints on cost of collecting data and how to improve collection, quality and relevance to justify investment plans
· How to efficiently communicate information and data with board executives to reveal value of production line and gain support for sufficient capital budget to implement the work
· Creating a capital prioritisation strategy to demonstrate careful data-drive decisions on prioritising investment and align with organisational goals

2:30 pm - 5:00 pm Workshop C: Effectively Leveraging Future Technology and Advanced Systems to Prepare for Smart Transport Asset Management

The advancements of technology and systems has created a shift in the transport space where organisations are now finding themselves preparing for an intelligent and ‘smart city’. As the future of transport continues to head towards this direction, organisations will need to reconsider the methods and applications of asset management they are currently embedding. This might mean shifting towards more automated processes, adopting IT/OT or implementing unique applications of asset management such as UAVs. In this workshop, you will discover how you can leverage off future technology and systems to better prepare your organisation’s frameworks and strategies for ‘smarter’ asset management.

· Balancing technology and integration – how to align new techniques to ensure efficient and equal maintenance of existing and new infrastructure and assets

· Restructuring your business around technologies to accommodate the asset management strategies of your organisation’s move towards an intelligent, smart transport city
